No, but you may feel a warm sensation and a ringing or vibrating sound during the procedure. However, there will be no pain, bruising, or discomfort at the treatment site. The procedure is merely like a scalp massage.
PRP involves injecting platelet-rich plasmas (from your blood) into your scalp, whereas Alma TED treatment is intended to expand the lipid bilayer to increase the penetration of topical hair solutions. Besides, PRP is recommended once a year, but you may require two or more TED treatments, one month apart, depending on your hair restoration goals.
